I'm creating a very simple chatbot for a React application that I have and basically I would like to improve the usability of this bot a little, because some information that I am requesting for the user to type in the chat I already have in the application where this chatbot is embedded, I would like to know if there is any way to send these variables/parameters to the chatbot.
This is the way to implement it, I'm doing the automatic startup by clicking on an icon in the corner of the screen and some custom visuals.
SOLUTION
Between lines 88 and 91 This is how you pass variables to a power virtual agents using custom canvas bot-framework react.
I will take a look and let you know
yes. There is. The variables that you want to populate, make them BOT variables inside PVA. Then there is a tick box that says something like “External sources can set values”
More info here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-virtual-agents/authoring-variables-bot#set-a-bot-variables-value-from-external-sources
Please accept this solution if I have solved this for you.
