SharePoint Online & Power Apps performance improvments on large lists

Hi , I have a power apps canvas application with a gallery that sort SharePoint list items by Modified & Created Date, where i can dynamically chose the sort field. the SharePoint list contain around 1,250,000 items, And around 3 years ago when i built the app, showing the items when the app loads was taking around 5-6 seconds, i tired this today and it loads the data in less than 2 seconds. so has SharePoint online and power apps performance improved in the last 3 years? is there any graph ?

Second question, also 3 years ago when i tried to add an index column to the list i got an error that i can not add an index on a large list, but today i were able to add a new index to the list which contain more than 1 million items

Depending on the logic that you are using for loading data into your app, there have been some changes over the past years.

Thanks for the reply. The logic is quiet straight forward, here is the formula for the gallery:-

If(Dropdown1.SelectedText.Value = "Created", SortByColumns(Contracts,"Created",SortOrder.Descending),SortByColumns(Contracts,"Modified",SortOrder.Descending))

also i think the analysis agent is not related to loading data for the gallery ? am i correct?

I mean the analysis engine will speed the load inside the studio and not on runtime
