We have Microsoft Accelerator solution installed using power apps and looking forward to solution mentioned in thrad above.

Can anyone please help share more information/advise on how same can be implemented?

Apologies, I am not sure what you mean by same can be implemented?

The above article is a paid solution and is from many years ago. What Accelerator are you referring too?

Are you asking how to build that?

If you want to integrate planner with power app solution (for big team or division, consider Dynamic 365)some keys for you:

Collect the request.

Modeling the needs.

use Planner connector. ( be aware of the limitations) for built the prototype/ PoC.

if step 1 is not enough, create your own connector.

use Azure function.

consider solution for Teams if everyone can use that ( for big team, consider Dynamic 365).

you can go to step 3 directly to explore the possibility/complexity.
