Using the Email Screen Template

I just came across the PowerApps Email Screen Template and I wondered if anyone has tried using it to do a few things:

1. Feed into a SharePoint list - It is a screen that is a part of an app that sends all data to a SharePoint List

2. Change the Subject field to a drop down list

Those are the two functionalities I'm considering doing and would like to know if it's possible and if anyone has done anything similar.

I have never used this template but If you have some info/screenshots Id be more than happy to help!

Assuming that there are controls for the user to add info to, much like in a standard email program, you will definately be able to add that data to a SP List. You can either use a form or build your own (I like making my own much more personally) and then submit that email's data to the SP List at the same time as you are sending it to the recipient.

For the second question. You can for sure change to a dropdown menu. This is why I assumed they are using a form. If this is indeed in a form then you can click inside the card you want the dropdown to live in and then add a dropdown. You can also remove the old control (text input etc) as we dont need that anymore. You will get some errors but we will fix them. For the update property of that card (not the dropdown) you will want to remove what is there and add DropdownName.Selected.ColumnName where your dropdown name and column name are whatever you need them to be for that card. What this is doing is saying to powerapps that when you hit submit form this is how I want you to update the field linked to this card. It will now grab the value from the dropdown instead.

Hope this helps! If i missed the mark let me know and I will shoot again 😛 good luck!

@mmollet Thank you so much for the response and my apologies for the delayed reply. I was able to create the dropdown on the subject line. I'm working on another way to populate the list.
