I’m trying to enable and use Copilot in Power Apps Studio (for a Canvas app), but I’m running into two main issues:
✅ What I’ve already done:
🌍 Environment Region:
My Power Platform environment is hosted in the Europe region.
⚙️ Admin Center Settings:
In Power Platform Admin Center → Environments → [My Environment] → Settings → Features, I enabled the following:
✅ Allow users to analyze data using an AI-powered chat experience in canvas and model-driven apps
✅ Use AI-based experiences in apps
✅ All other available Copilot and preview features
🧪 Troubleshooting Steps:
Cleared browser cache/cookies
Tried multiple browsers (Edge, Chrome)
Tested in incognito/private mode
Signed out and back in
Published app and tested it in browser and mobile
❌ What’s not working: 1. “Upcoming features” tab is missing:
In Power Apps Studio, when I go to Settings, the “Upcoming features” tab does not appear, so I cannot manually enable Copilot or other preview features.
2. Copilot is missing from Studio UI:
While editing the Canvas app in Studio:
No Copilot panel or chat icon is visible
No AI-related UI is available
However, Copilot does appear in the published app when tested in browser or mobile — just not during design-time.
❓My Questions:
Is Copilot in Power Apps Studio (design-time) supported in Europe-region environments?
Why is the “Upcoming features” tab missing in Studio settings, even though all features are enabled at the environment level?
Are there any tenant-level policies, preview program enrollments, or license requirements needed for Copilot in Studio?
Is there a known limitation or delay in Copilot rollout for EU tenants?
This is whaht I see in Germany when I go to make.powerapps.com
As you can see, Plan Designer (Copilot Agent for creating apps) is definitely there. I also see Microsoft 365 Copilot in the start page of Microsoft 365
If you don't see that, it is possible that your organization disabled Copilot.
To answer your other questions - European regions do get some preview features a lot slower than US based environments, but you should be abe able to see Copilot being rolled out as well, What you are describing is definitely not the default setting.
