Hello guys,
I tried to create a canvas app and then embed it in table's form, using the usual "go to Classic view" and then add canvas app control form one of its field.
It is looking good at first ->
But when I make it smaller, not only the width is decreasing (which is expected), but why the height also ?
Is the height decreasing is a normal behavior of model driven ?
How to make it fill the whole screen for the height, because I only make it smaller the width. There is plenty of space below it, since in my table's form, this is the only section I created. There is of course the standard footer section, but I hide it.
Thanks
Hi, Noted.
Anyone can help on some idea of what to do about this ?
I managed to forced it to the "full" height, by remove the height formula "Max(App.Height, App.MinScreenHeight)", start from App.Height and the outer most container's height to a fixed measures, such as 1000 (since the default and my expectation is portrait).
But apparently, and I don't know why, this is not stable. Most of time, when I doing some modification in any of my components and then save and publish again, the Heights back to "auto decreased" when it is play (run) inside Model-driven form, ignored my fixed measure of 1000.
There are times, refresh browser, close and reopen browser, works, but there are times none of that works which frustrate me.
Thanks.
Hi @Axal ,
I cannot find a way to force an embedded canvas app to be portrait orientation. Sorry for that.

Hi @v-jefferni
Just trying that "Expand first component..." in table's form, unfortunately, It doesn't seems take an effect. Btw for the canvas app it self, I didn't put any extra customized on the height, the outmost container will take the App.Height, and it is a standard height. That app right now is Phone layout with Portrait orientation.
This is my height formula:
While the outmost container is :
There is some formula for my "Tabpage" component, put at the topmost of the screen and it is fixed with only small length of height.
Thanks
Hi @Axal ,
Based on my testing, the embedded app height would adjust to the field width, while field width adjust to the column width. Please use the custom size of the Canvas App to adjust the width and height to the field width in Model-driven app if you have turned off the scale to fit switch.
As the alternative, you could also check the "Expend first component to full tab" option for the tab in Form's modern editing page.
Hope this helps.

Hi @v-jefferni
I'm sorry, but I have set this as the 1st step of creating responsive canvas app.
Thanks
Hi @Axal ,
Please try and turn off the Lock aspect ratio and Scale to fit in Power Apps studio -> Settings -> Dispaly
Hope this helps.
