Publish Power Apps into organization wide Teams app store

Hi everyone,

With Dataverse for Teams, you can share your Power App with your colleagues. With this option, you just share the app but everyone keeps using the same data layer. The data is stored in the Dataverse for Teams environment where the Power App is originally created.

Does anyone know if it is possible to make a Power App available to install it into the "Built by your org" section in the Teams app store? When I try to export my solution package and import it as ZIP, it doesn't work.

What I want to achieve is the same as the new "Employee ideas" app. When you install that app in an Dataverse for Teams environment, it is a completely new app and the data is stored in the same environment, not in the environment where the app was originally created.

Maybe it is not possible yet to do this? If anyone has tried the same as me, please let me know. 🙂

Thanks

    Hi @WouterF3

It’s  impossible to make a Power App available to install it into the "Built by your org" section in the Teams app store.

As we know, there are two sections in “Built for tenant” : ”Built by your org” and “Built by your colleague”. You can refer to the following official description:

For the ”Built by your org” section, it’s built mostly by pro developers, the concept of a custom Microsoft Teams app was exclusive to solutions built with custom code.

But for the “Built by your colleague”, the low-code apps will become an equally prominent part of the organization specific Teams app catalog.  “Built by your colleagues” section has been shared by the citizen developers.

Therefore, for your power apps, it isn’t possible to make a Power App available to install it into the "Built by your org" section in the Teams app store.

For the details, you can refer to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/manage-power-platform-apps

    Hope it helps!

    Best Regards,
