Model-Driven Apps Rich Text Editor Expand Option Disappeared

Over the last few days I've noticed the expand option has disappeared from the top right corner of rich text fields in my model-driven apps. Has this been removed, or is there a way to reenable it? See below for the button I'm referring to.

    Microsoft removed this when they enabled new look. Right now it is not available. May be MS will enable this in future but there is no documentation for this currently.

    Please create JS file with below syntax and add it to RTE in model drive app, it'll enable the expand button.

    {
        "defaultSupportedProps": {
            "toolbarLocation": "top"
        },
        "showAsTabControl": true,
        "showFullScreenExpander": true,
        "disableDefaultImageProcessing": true
    }

    Thanks @CA1105, could you advise on where to add this code? My RTE field only has an event handler of on change and this requires a function.
