Problem with PowerApps in teams

Hey everybody,

I am facing a strange problem when using my powerapp in the team app. This happens only when using the app and not the in browser version of teams. I have created a checklist application, where the items drop to the bottom when checked off. So if you check the top item, all the items below this item should move upwards. While this is the case in the powerapps editor and the in browser version of teams, a strange error happens while using the teams application itself. Namely in the app the whole list gets shuffled every time an item is checked. Do others also encounter such discrepancies between the editor, web app and the application itself?

Hi 5euro,

Thank you for your post. I am wondering if this is caused by the available screen space in the teams browser. Could you check and let me know if the issue happens if you make the teams application full screen as well?

Could you open the teams application in a web browser window and let me know if you also experience the issue there?

Hi RoryL,

The same problem keeps occurring when I set the teams window to full screen, as well if I set the Powerapp to full screen mode. The problem occurs also in the teams application of my coworkers. Fortunately this problem does not occur in the web browser version of teams. I still think this discrepancy is strange, but since the code works fine in the editor and web browser version I don't think there is a problem with the app itself.

Hello 5euro,

Can you provide more details about how your app works? Are you using the gallery control to display the checklist? Are you maintaining the items in a collection, or in a table from a data source? How do you change the ordering of the items? E.g., are you applying the Sort or SortbyColumns functions on the table/collection?

Hi John,

I am using nested galleries to display the items in the checklist. The items are maintained in a collection, which is collected from a sharepoint website as data source, but the app uses the collection. Then I use the Sort function to change the order of the collection in the gallery.items control field. This all works fine in the web version of teams and the online editor for PowerApps, only it shows strange and inconsistent behavior in the teams application itself.
