Import component

Found Scott Durow's drag and drop component on GitHub.

I am lost when it comes to importing it. At a high level this is what I understand I need to do:

1. Import the solution with the component in it.

2. Create a component library.

3. Export the component from the solution to the component library.

4. Create a new app, use the component.

Seems straight forward enough.

Steps 1 & 2; no sweat. Then I'm done. I have no export option from that solution. I can't do anything with it.

Spent quite a while struggling and getting nowhere; I would appreciate any guidance, a push n the right direction etc.

This is what I see in that solution when I open it.

In posts, and specifically in MathewDevaney's page on this, it shows an interface different from mine...

He shows this (which has a couple of options CANVAS and CODE under Import Components.:

But this is what I see...

This is beyond frustrating... another example of doing the same thing over and over, and over and over again... and it finally decides its time to work.

The first step in power apps is to turn ON "Power Apps component framework for canvas apps".

Of course I did this, and I re-verified at least a dozen times. I refreshed browsers, tried incognito mode, tried different browsers, I restarted the PC and the browsers. Did all of this under different environments... Nothing worked.

And then I go to check another time and the thing is OFF. Turn it ON and it is immediately working.

At this point I am thinking maybe it is my environment, meaning my work network/firerwall etc, that prevents some things from working right?

    Anyway, there you have it.

FYI: The 'Get more componentshas moved and has become a small icon near the top of the Insert menu, below the Search and Filter tools.

Based on memory, the rest of the process has stayed the same.

Hi - can you please tell me how you did this step?

Export the component from the solution to the component library.

I have the solution installed.  I have a Component Library.

I cannot for the life of me find how to import the new component (from the imported Solution) into the component library. It is a managed Solution and I can see it in my environment.

I have turned on the Environment setting to allow component framework for canvas apps - yes I checked and it is still on.

I created my own component and I can use this in my App but I cannot work out how to import an external component - I am trying to import a PCF iFrame component.
