Good Morning, I have been building an app meant to host several trainings with PowerPoints for each included for the sections of the training.
I had the bright idea to keep the product owners in control of the training material (allowing updates and such) to put the training into the App via the PDF Viewer control. I was having issues because the native format for the trainings is PPTX(PowerPoint) but, through connecting the SharePoint Document Library to a gallery then populating them into a PDF Viewer then copying that link being used to reference the file being presented into the page within which I wanted that portion of the presentations to be presented.
My problem and question are that this solution is only temporarily effective. If you leave the App the links generated by the Selected Item from the gallery, go away as well but, not if you delete the gallery they stay as long as the app isn't reloaded.
Is there a way to project these PowerPoints into the PDF viewer without the gallery? or is it a requirement for me to use the document library as a source?
Follow-up to that is if not what is the correct solution for me to format and make these available. I would like to retain the ability for the stakeholders to be able to edit the files if at all possible.
My recommendation would be to looking into Save and Load Data. So when they leave and come back.. it will keep the data in a Collection that you generate and use that to store the Urls
Since your concern is they close the app, this would resolve that.
If this helps your question, Please Mark as such and maybe a like.
if you end up using this solution and need help, please start another thread and we can answer that part there.
Cheers!!
