Gallery Image loading delay

Hello,

currently im facing a problem in an canvas app which contains a gallery with items that have images in it. These images are saved in dataverse. The issue is, everytime when navigating to the gallery screen the images are loaded very slow. Even with image file size like ~25kb there is always a delay of almost 1 second until the images appear.

Tried to save the images in a local collection on app start but the 1second delay remains the same. Only when uploading the images as local media, the images are showing up instantly without delay. Dataverse image Thumbnail size isnt an option here.

Its very annoying that the image loading delay occurs every time when the gallery screen is visible. Is there a way to increase the dataverse image loading efficiency? I've attached a .gif where you can see the loading delay on my testscreens. Thanks

I have the same issue. Did you get any solution on this?

Never was able to fix the loading times. But I placed a loading spinner gif behind the image media control and this was a fine solution for me. Because now the end users can see that there are images loading

Rendering process causes this delay. You can set CalculateOriginalDimentions property of the image true and you can put a loading gif with visible property set to Image1.OriginalWidth=0. Because original width value returns 0 until the image is rendered.

    Hi,

For a quick turn around i can suggest onething that, use a timer and show loading image and hide the image after 3 seconds.
