SharePoint list custom form not populating field in sharepoint list

Posted on by 28

I have a custom form I created from a SharePoint list (Integrate, PowerApps, Customize Form). It was working fine for several months. All of a sudden one of fields is not populating in the SharePoint list. It is a choice column, dropdown. The choices show up in the form but when the form is saved, the column does not populate in the SharePoint list. I have made no changes to the form or to the list. I am completely baffled. When it stopped working, I removed the field and added it back to the form. It is still doing the same thing.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me to try? Or anywhere I can look to see why this stopped working? TYIA

    Hi @jeannemac

Is it possible to add a choice column next to it put the choices on the new column and drag all the previous answers across if needed? You can then delete the old choice off of your PowerApp and add the new one. When I have done this before it has fixed this issue, you can then just hide the old column.

It's a pain if you have 1000's of responses to drag across but you can always test this before having to do it. I have found this kind of thing happens when thing like multiple choice are allowed when originally it wasn't.

    I hope this helps you.

    Thanks,

    Edd
