Hello guys, I'm checking datetime in my app and I want to get Today () it in the following format: "dd-mm-yyyy" (I want to avoid using Text(Today(),"dd-mm-yyyy")). I changed my computer's language and format date, I changed Power Apps' time and language and changed my Microsoft Account's region (these information is shown in the bellowed images). After all of these steps, I created a new app. Despite of that, the app still giving me the time format in "US" (m-dd-yyyy). Thank you, Jose.

    Hi @JoseC12 ,

I am in Australia and have had the same issue for a long time - I just gave up and formatted  my controls and labels "dd/mm/yyyy" or "dddd, d mmmm yyyy" or however I wanted them.

Hi Warren, I was following more than the steps given in Microsoft docs, that's why I'm posting here. 😞

For example, if I have a Calendar list in Sharepoint with "dd-mm-yyyy", will it change to that format in the app?

    Hi @JoseC12 ,

SharePoint actually saves time in UTC in the background and converts it all according to the settings of the server time/format. Power Apps in interacting with these fields gets the time right (as far as the PC reginal of the local user).

To clarify my original post, most of the time (I will qualify this), it gets the format right (so the Microsoft docs reflect the intention), but I have had different users seeing the date "backwards" and also at times myself. The default format for a date picker is "ShortDate" and a label Text is simply the date. I would like to help you more, but have never really done a lot of trouble-shooting - it is far easier simply to format them the way you want - there is no downside to this as you are specifically formatting a date rather than relying on the default function working all the time (and I don't want my users complaining they did something on 6 June, not 7 July)
