Edit: This is no longer needed as I am now using the Meeting Template from Power Apps
Before I start, there is this post here which is basically doing what I am having issue with, however the poster didn't show case what their data looks like so I am having a hard time recreating this information.
I am making a staff booking application in Power Apps to be embedded into a SharePoint site. I can not seem to figure out what the best course of action would be enable to booking of people excluding people that are already booked. I am using lists within the SharePoint site and I have the following three:
Booked List
| Title | StartDate | EndDate |
| Bob | 10/18/2023 2:00 PM | 10/18/2023 2:30 PM |
| John | 11/17/2030 2:00 PM | 11/30/2030 2:00 PM |
Staff List
| Title | Department |
| Bob | A |
| John | B |
and the most recent list that I have added to attempt to solve this issue Availability List
| Title | StartDate | EndDate | Department | Availability |
| Bob | 10/18/2023 2:00 PM | 10/18/2023 2:30 PM | A | Booked |
| John | 11/17/2030 2:00 PM | 11/30/2030 2:00 PM | B | Booked |
| Bob |
| A | Free |
I have attempted many different routes to attempt to get the drop down just on the first Date Picker however it seems either no names show up or all names show up. You'd think it just be a
if DatePicker >= StartDate, DatePicker <= EndDate && Availability = "Free"
however this draws a blank in the drop down menu.
It becomes more fun when I also add onto the fact that there is the recurrence date as well - this is to enable from Day 1 to Day 10 booking where as recurrence unchecked its just for the 1 day... actually thinking about this I could just make this a number and add that amount of days to it but then time could become a bit of an issue which im not even handling yet.
