We developed a Model-driven app and We would like to sell to customers without source code. They should not allow editing the model-driven app. How can I achieve this? What is the best practice when delivering a model-driven app to customers?

Before export the solution package as Managed, you can configure the Managed Properties of these components in Solution as follows to disable allow customizations option, then the exported managed solution delivered to Customer won't be customized any more. Reference: Managed properties
