Hi all,

I have a custom table called 'Sample' . I have created lookup field to account table from Sample. It has many to one relationship.

I have created a view in Sample table and i want add one of column from Account table to this view. But in realted section I dont see account table.

I think my Sample entity is the parent entity. As it has the lookup field.

I didn't understand why I am not able to see the related table fields.

Thank you...

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @Anonymous ,

If you have a lookup field on your "Sample" entity that is the Account then the Account would be the Parent and the Sample would be the child (or at least the Many side of the relationship).  Please make sure you publish all customizations and the Account should show as a "related" entity that you can add columns from in the Sample table's views.

Hope this helps.  Please accept if answers your question or Like if helps in any way.

    Thanks,

    Drew

    Thank you @dpoggemann.

I have checked my "sample" table. In relationship section, it showing relationship between "sample" and Account as Many-to-one relationship.

Even after publishing customization, I  not able to see the Account in related

    Entity view.

    Thank you..

    Hi @Anonymous ,

Would you be able to add a couple of screen shots?

    1.  Screen shot of field definition for Account lookup column on the Sample table

    2.  Screen shot of a View definition showing the Related tables, the Account table should show here as a table to choose from.  This should look similar to what is showing below on the Contact since the Account is a lookup field on the Contact table:

    Thanks,

As you can see in the above screenshot, Account table is not there in related tab.

    Hi @Anonymous

The one thing I see is that the Company column is part of a managed solution vs. custom. Did this come with installation of a specific solution or is this something you added to the entity as a custom column?  Just wondering if the managed solution is locked down in the managed properties?  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/alm/managed-properties-alm

This is the only thing I can think of that would stop it from showing as a related column to add to the view...

Hope this helps.  Please accept if answers your question or Like if helps in any way.

    Thanks!

    Thank you @dpoggemann

I found the solution. I was not able to see the related table fields because the filed is not set as searchable. After I made it searchable, I can see the account in related section.

    Hi chandrasekhrak3,

follow below steps to make the field searchable

    1) Go to your Environment Solution in make.powerapps.com

    2) Go to your table

    3) Select your lookup field, then edit he column

    4) Update the field to Searchable

Hi there, the issue reason is "Seachable" option is disabled in Relationship setting instead of Lookup column setting.

After you enabled this option, publish the table, then you will see the Account table in your related dropdown list of the view.
