Save Phonecall record from my custom dataverse entity

Hi,

 

I have my customers custom table created in dataverse having one of column as Phone number. When i navigate to particular customer from model-driven app, there is option to directly call next to phone number field. 

 

I can click & directly call, and in background it actually opens a new form for phone call entity with pre-filled call from, call to fields.

However, when i try to SAVE, it's throwing below error:

I did try by adding one-to-many, many-to-one relationship between by customer entity & phonecall but it's not working. Any help/input is appreciated.

    1. Open your custom table from inside your solution

    2. Click on Properties

    3. Scroll down till the below section and flag Creating a new Activity this will create the required relationships for you

    4. Save and Publish

    Thanks @Mira_Ghaly for the response. 

     

    With this option, as I understood it will allow creating an activity entry in my custom table right? I want to actually create entry in phone call with a Call To column having lookup of my custom table.

     

    I am asking this as when you click on dial icon, it in background opens the Phone call entity new record form. As an alternate option, if there is a way to change that behavior where i can have a phone call logs table where i can save those instead of current behavior that is also fine.

    Enabling activities which means including phone calls so the phone call can be linked to your custom table as the regarding object, so this is the option you need to enable to link the phone call to your custom table

    I did try that by enabling but still getting same error: Unable to find...

    @kunald_gmeet In field "Call To" you can't keep value from custom table. System allows you to use only "Regarding" field for this purpose. Go to the Activities and create new Phone Call. Click on the "Call To" field then advanced lookup. Those four tables can be used in activityparty relation. 

    I don't know any way how to overcome it. However, the question is "Should we try to do that?". My answer is no. First of all this is a CRM philosophy. Last few years you know it as a Dataverse but originally it is Dynamics CRM.
