Hi everyone,

Just a few questions on Business Namecard reader that is pre-built in Powerapps.

1. Does it support other languages beyond English(e.g. Chinese )?

2. I tried creating an app and scanned the name card. I realise the Scanned and Cleared image is the same. Anyone managed to see that the cleared image as the cropped namecard?

3. I noticed the phone number extracter likes to place a 1 after the Plus. Is there any way to enhance this?

(e.g. +99 1234 5678 will be extracted as +19912345678)

1. We support English and Japanese so far. See Business card prebuilt AI model - AI Builder | Microsoft Learn

2. Can you clarify the question or provide an example please?

3. At the moment, there is no easy way to do it. You could perform some post processing logic by redacting these characters after extraction.

Thank you for following up.
1. Noted on the language support. but i notice that when i scan a namecard with an english and chinese name present. it is unable to extract first ,last or display name.

2. I noticed the scanned and cleared image looks the same. Should the Cleared image not be the cropped image?

3. Noted. will perform post processing logic

To 1, it is likely because we are not supporting chinese characters at the moment.

To 2, Usually, the cropped image is different. It could be that the card is not properly recognized. Did you observe similar behavior with other cards?

We changed the API a couple of months ago and we are not cropping the image anymore unfortunatelly.

Though, the information should be retrieved with more accuracy with this API.
