Displaying Stream Videos directly in chat window

I’m working with a Copilot Studio agent that includes a topic containing an adaptive card in a message node. The goal is to display onboarding videos directly within the chat window—without redirecting users to a new browser tab.

YouTube videos work perfectly for this use case and play inline within the chat pane. However, videos hosted on Microsoft Stream or SharePoint do not behave the same way. The only workaround I’ve found so far is to use a thumbnail image that links out to the video in a new tab. You can see both videos in my screenshot - video 1 being the Stream and video 2 is You Tube

I understand this limitation is likely due to authentication and permissions, even though the videos are shared with all users who access the Copilot agent.

Is there any way to enable inline playback of Stream or SharePoint-hosted videos within the chat window? Or any recommended approach to achieve a similar user experience?

Unfortunately, sharing the Agent is not enough as the video's where you have them hosted have to be individually authenticated.

If you really really really really really want to make them essentially public, you can look at placing them into a public personal Shared OneDrive folder with an anyone link as long as its directly to the file itself.

That or you will have to download them and put them on Youtube or Azure with SAS Tokens or publically open File / Blob shares. So its possible, but pretty much those 3

    Public OneDrive
    Public Streaming Service
Azure with Blob Storage public access to the files

If these suggestions help resolve your issue, Please consider Marking the answer as such and also maybe a like.

    Thank you!

Also, if I might ask is this only for internal people or anyone?

I mean you could use dropbox also btw, so really any hosted storage (like azure / one drive) that allows you to create truly and purely public non-authenticated streams
