Dears

Greetings!

I am working for an organization that has a license to use Power Platform. Hence, because of the exposure, I am becoming an advanced user of most applications (power apps , power automate, sharepoint, power bi, list, forms). I have built few apps that are related to work.

Background.

I have an idea to develop a mobile application for my private non profit organization. The goal is to reach out and help destitute within the community. The app is expected to give  Uber like service. To develop this app, instead of learning other softwares , I wanted to use power app, if it's possible.

Questions.

1. Is it possible to use power app to develop such apps that can be used by any ordinary citizens?

2. If yes which feature is expected to give this desired uber-like app? Is it Geo-spatial?

3. Does the country matter? I am living in Ethiopia.  Any ordinary citizen is expected to use my app?

4. Can it be accessible from play store and other platforms?

5. What are the expected costs?

6. Is power app(power platform) a good strategy from marketing point of view?

7. If there is a regulation to use a local database(instead of cloud service) can we integrate power app with a local DB?

I have the same question (0)

    1) For user's to run a Power App they must have a Power App license.  So its normally not feasible to build an app that will be used by the general public.

Thanks for the swift response. How about via CSR. Is there a corporate social responsibility(CSR) office in Microsoft that receive proposals(for the good of the community) to use its platform throughout the world?

There simply isn't any provision built into the product to run apps for a general audience. Yes there are groups in MS that deal with non-profits.  But anything that you could do as a non-profit would still be built around users in the non-profit using the app, not the general public.
