Pulling in data from source and combining with data from an edit form to create a new record in SharePoint list

Good afternoon

I'm building an app for the purpose of cycle counts (on-site inventory) and I need it to pull certain (view only) data from tables but allow the technician to edit other fields with their count data. Then I need the app to combine the data from both sources (tables and edit form) and write it to SharePoint.
I know how to connect to any number of data sources for the view only and I know how to patch my edit forms and write to SharePoint for digital record-keeping, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to combine the read-only data with the forms data in the same app. Any wizards out there that can point me in the right direction? Googling has my head spinning...

Is your read-only data and the data you want to edit within the same table? If so, your app can control which cards in the form are editable and which are view-only. If they're not in the same table, can you craft some LookUp() statements to pull in the data you want the user to see? If I understand correctly what you're trying to do, it sounds very do-able.

    Hope that helps,

    Bryan

    Hi Bryan

Thank you for your reply. No, the data points aren't in the same origin table, but I need them in the same record on SharePoint. I'll try your suggestion, thank you!
