Show user's name in Display Screen, without manual input in form

Hello!

I would like my Display Screen to show the user/submittant's name without having the user input their name into the Edit Form of my Edit Screen. So essentially, the form captures who is submitting it (without user typing in their name) and shows on the Display Screen. How would I go about doing this?

Thank you!

    No problem...my apology for misreading your original post.  I had the impression that you wanted to have the user name shown on the screen.  Not that you wanted the user that created a record to be shown in a Gallery.

    Glad to help.

    That is exactly what I was looking for! So if a different person submits the form (other than Justin Smith), their name will pop up for that record, correct? Thank you!

    If you are trying to display in the Gallery the name of the person that created the record, then you can use ThisItem.'Created By'.DisplayName in the label in your Gallery template.

    Both of the below records show the Full Name of the person that submitted the form (which happen to be the same person). I believe the code you gave me ( User().FullName ) only displays the username of the user, but not special to that of each form submitted. If Billy Bob submitted the one form, and Justin Smith submitted the second, what line of code would I use to show the person that submitted each in the main Browse gallery?

    I had the impression that you were simply trying to display the user name on the screen.

    Are you stating that you want your Gallery filtered to show only records associated to the current user?

    Last question. So when a user logins in to the app and sees the gallery (that has submissions from other users), won't their name pop up for every single submission since they are the user of User().FullName ? (Instead of how it's supposed to be with the users of each submission)?

    @jharville

    Yes, those would give you the values you want for the current user without having them type it in.

    Thank you for the response.

    So since I'm not asking the user to type their name into the form, would I just put the User().FullName or User().Email into the Display Screen?

    @jharville

    You would use the User().FullName function to get the current user name.

    Please take a look at the documentation on this formula for other options as well.

    I hope this is helpful for you.
