Power Apps to check shared outlook calendar availability and book

Is it possible to have a Power App that will include a connection to an outlook shared calendar in order to check it's availability and book a date/time with pending approval?  When making the booking, they should be able to see what days/time are available but not the details of the calendar.

Note that you use the "Find meeting times (V2)" action of the Office 365 Outlook connector to retrieve meeting time suggestions.

    Hi ACKC,

    This is definately possible.

Creating a calendar from blank can be quite a hassle though. That is why PowerApps has a standard screen template for a calendar view:

After adding such a screen, you should rebuild it a bit:

    • to be able to select the shared calendar that you mentioned, you should change/remove the dropdown. By standard the dropdown shows your personal calandars.
    • You might want to change the CalendarEventsGallery1 to not show details of the meeting but only the availability as you mentioned

Don't forget you're actually building a second version of Outlook. If this is the only functionality that you are creating in your Canvas App, you could also consider explaining your users how to add the shared calendar to their outlook 😉
