Deploying solution to multiple tenants (customers)?

Hi

I have a solution in the power platform that i deliver to a few customers. But now when i see an increase in customers i wonder if it is possible to push out a solution directly to the customers when an update is available. Today i export a managed version of my solution then go to each customer and upload the solution.

I have tried to read up on this a bit, it seems to be possible with visual studio or powershell but i would rather find another tool... I would rather find a software that tells me whats happening....

What options do i have?

I have the same question (0)

We are doing it, so it is definitely possible 🙂

Or do you mean that you do not have the necessary accounts/credentials to do it?

Another approach would be to distribute and update your app through AppSource, by the way.

I did not think i could use pipelines accross tenants. If so i will absolutly look into pipelines more.

    Hello @Oskarkuus,

Yes, this is definitely possible. The option we are using is through DevOps release pipelines.

    The general approach is to:

    • Create an integration pipeline that will automatically create a managed solution from your Power Platform solution and provide it as a pipeline artifact. You can run this pipeline manually or e.g. on a schedule.
    • Create one or more release pipelines that will automatically start when a new pipeline artifact has been created by your integration pipeline. These pipelines will import the managed solution into target environments in the same tenant or in other tenants. The prerequisite is that you will have to have access to the target environments either through a user account or an application user with at least the System Customizer security role.

You can find more information here.
