Wrong output from Copilot agent on same data

When i upload file to copilot it give right answer or use copilot in excel, when i create agent using copilot and give path of same excel then it does not give right answer, what is the reason and fix?

With respect... you cannot just say you created an agent.

You need to share your agent, share your topics, show us how you created the knowledge etc etc

There is literally no way to help with that information, please respect our time so we can help you better.

I am assuming you created an agent directly from the M365 App or from Copilot Studio.

How it works:

In Copilot 365 (like in Word or Excel):

Copilot already knows your context. It can see your open files, emails and access files on SharePoint/OneDrive.

When you write a file path, it can automatically access that file through Microsoft 365.

In a Copilot Studio Agent:

The agent cannot access files just from a path.

You need to add the file as a knowledge source (or connect to it using Power Automate or a connector).

The agent doesn’t have built-in access to your SharePoint or OneDrive unless you set it up manually.

Add the file as a knowledge source:

Go to Copilot Studio → Knowledge and add the Excel file or SharePoint folder. → Then the agent can use that content to answer questions.
