Region difference between Power Platform and Power BI within Same tenant

Hello All,

Good day!

 

I am trying to enable the Fabric link to the dataverse :

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/data-platform/azure-synapse-link-view-in-fabric

 

I am using the same account to login to power platform and Powerbi of the same tenant :

 

power platform : East Asia

Power BI  : Southeast Asia

Any reason why the regions are different across powerbi and power platform for the same id and same tenant?

And any idea how I can move either of them to the other region if possible?

    I would recommend putting a Microsoft support ticket if you can’t choose the same location. Seems like that should’ve been the default.

    Hey @ivan_apps 
    Thank you for your response.

    Basically when I tried creating a new environment , there was no option to select southeast asia region but it showed only east asia.

     

    So how are we supposed to get my Powerbi and power platform on same apsect?
    Also a Tenant cannot be moved and PowerBI maps to same region as tenant.

     

    Does this mean I am stuck and have to request for new tenant ?

    Microsoft support may be able to just migrate your tenant into a new region and ensure both Fabric and M365 are hosted in the same one. But you'll have to submit a ticket and see what your options are with them.
