Hi,
I am building a powerapps with a date picker field which returns the value in "mm/dd/yyyy" format. My browser's default value is English(US). when I change my browser's language to English(UK), the date picker starts returning the garbage value. Ex: If date selected in date picker is "14th November 2019" with English(US) language, the value returned is "11/14/2019" but with English(UK) language, the value returned is "11/02/2020" which is incorrect. can anybody help me with this and let me know a solution/workaround for this.
Thanks in advance 🙂
@Anonymous
Hello there. What settings are you using for the DatePicker? Do they look like this? Is your language setting matching mine?

Hi There,
Thanks for your response.
I updated my datepicker control to have same settings as that of yours. Now it is not returning any random value but it returns the date in "dd/mm/yyyy" format where as I want the date in "mm/dd/yyyy" format. can you suggest a solution for that as well.
thanks
I tried changing the language to "en-US" but date picker still returns the value in "dd/mm/yyyy" format for English UK language browser setting.
Let me know if I am missing something here:
1. My browser language setting is English (UK)
2. When I specify user local in the date picker, it returns 14/11/2019
3. When I specify "en-US" in the date picker language setting, it instantly changes to 11/14/2019

From your first screenshot I can see that your browser language in "English US", English UK is turned off. Secondly, In my case the date picker shows the date in desired format but it returns the incorrect value.
Screenshots below:
1. Browser Setting-
2. DatePicker Settings-
3. Value in DatePicker (correct format i.e. mm/dd/yyyy)-
4. Value returned by DatePicker (incorrect format i.e. dd/mm/yyyy)-
Just wanted to let you know I was able to replicate your experience. I am pretty sure you know but just wanted to confirm that you do not want to use a formula to format the date with something like this?
Text(DatePicker1.SelectedDate,"mm/dd/yyyy")
I tried to use the formulas to format the date in desired format, but the formulas also returns the incorrect date value after formatting. secondly I am performing some date comparisons on these dates, so I can not use text formula. I have to use date formatting formulas.
