3D Viewer for STL Files

Hi Everyone,

I am making an app where it would be great to preview the STL files before proceeding with the next steps. We currently have a sharepoint library with a folder for each student and they then upload their STL files into the folder. I was wondering if it was possible to have the 3D viewer view each of these files from a gallery?

I have a gallery and would like to display the selected item... my code for the 3D viewer is

Gallery3.Selected.Filenamewithextension

but it doesn't read it as an STL file.

Is there something I am missing? I am very new to all of this and any help would be greatly appreciated!\

I have done some more research and know that it is possible to do when you have a sharepoint list with an 'attachments' column but I was wondering if it was possible to do it with a file saved in a folder within a library not a list?
