Portal Profile Image

Hello experts,

I have a problem with setting the profile pictures of portal members.

When I post something in our Customer Portal, no picture is displayed (default blank picture).

What I have already done:

  • Added the picture in the column "entityimage" for my user.
  • Added the picture in the column "entityimage" for my contact

I would be very grateful for any tips in this regard!

Thanks in advance!

Daniel

I may be wrong, but I don't think they have changed this since the last time I looked at it.  Originally the Picture for the portal user was a Gravitar (not an image field on the contact) - and I think pretty much legacy now.

    Hello Fubar,

thank you very much for this information.

I don't quite understand why, when using the forum within the portal, every user has a large profile picture, but there is not a single way to change this without plug-in programming.

But thank you very much for the link and I will definitely have a closer look.

History.  the Portal was originally created by AdxStudio and at that time entityimages did not exist in what was Dynamics CRM (the codebase for the portal was purchased by Microsoft some years later).   Also suspect that when entityimages did become available they were not exposed via the API - and after being exposed no one has changed/added the functionality.
