Import from Excel unavailable?

Hello, 

 

When attempting to import data from an excel sheet to a Dataverse table, I get the following message: 

 

The import service is not available: Connection set initialization failed for project DMImport_2023_01_03T15_42_39_019Z. Error: Tried creating PQ Service principal but still getting PQ Service principal retrieval failed

 

I'm using Chrome on MacOS, this doesn't seem to be a problem with the browser. Any suggestions?

    It does look like this could be a permissions or licensing issue, although nobody in that thread identified exactly what permissions/license need to change. When I find the answer, I'll update that thread too in case it's helpful to others

    Unfortunately I can't seem to figure what part of my license is insufficient. 

     

    I have both Microsoft 365 Business Premium and the Power Apps per user plan active on my account. 

     

    There isn't anything about excel imports in the Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate Licensing Guide either. 

     

    Do I need to purchase a license beyond the two I already have? As shown in the attachment, there aren't other Power Apps plans I can purchase:

    Hi  @YellowLens

     

    From what I see you don't have the Community plan (or whatever it is called nowadays). I suggest to try different browsers and if that doesn't work, to log a ticket with MS.

     

    To log a ticket with Microsoft, go to the Power Platform admin center and select the Help + support option: https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/support
