Desktop PowerApps client can't view attachments

I have a PowerApp that retrieves data from SharePoint. Via mobile and the web, the attachment control can be used to view/download attached files. However, through the desktop client, the attachment control does nothing (rendering it useless).

Is there a reason why this is the case?

    Hi @davetansley1 ,

    This should not be the case - the Attachment control works on both. What is is not doing?

    It does nothing. The attachment control lists the files, but clicking or tapping on them does nothing all at. Reproduced with the simplest of apps, looking at the simplest of lists.

    @davetansley1 ,

    Can you please send a screen shot of your attachment control - something is not right.

    Here it is in both display and edit mode in the desktop client. Properties are the defaults that you get when you add the attachment control to the page through "add fields". Attachments display on both mobile and web views.

    @davetansley1 ,

    This is a normal-looking attachment control - in both Edit and View modes, clicking on the attachment should download it.

    Is this is Design or Play mode?

    Just to be completely clear, this is in the Windows 10 PowerApps app, downloaded from the Windows Store. So it's in whatever mode you get when you tap on the app in the list of apps.

    When accessed through the mobile app, or directly through a URL, or in the editor in design/play mode, the attachment control works as intended.

    @davetansley1 ,

    I was referring to the mode in the PC app. Are you opening in Design and the playing it, or playing it directly. I mention this as there are times that playing from design mode, especially on multiple occasions, can cause some anomalies. Having said that, I have never had an attachment control not perform as designed.

    As I said at the start, there is something strange here - it simply should work.

    I believe @davetansley1 is referring to the standalone Power Apps client, downloadable from the Microsoft Store, not the web app used for developing apps in-browser.

    I have also encountered an identical problem whereby clicking attachments within the control has no effect and the attachment does not open. You can upload attachments, which opens a windows dialogue box to do so, however there is no response when an already uploaded attachment is clicked... a procedure which prompts a download on in-browser or mobile app iterations.
