Hi,

I am planning to create standard app for multiple departments. each department has its own SharePoint list but the same app and flow. what is the best practice, Should I create one App for all  +10 departments and importing all lists or create individual app for each department (Sharepoint list)

If the best practice is creating multiple apps. should I keep all these apps and lists in one solution or separate them!

please I need help urgently

Thanks,

    I would use one app but add a department column to your list. Then you could filter the list when the app is started.

    you mean using one app and one list for 21 departments. each department has a SharePoint Site, so I was thinking to create a list for each department.

    I don't need to face this issue (fortunately), but if the list is in one master SharePoint Site, can the other departments access it from their sites?  Otherwise, if you make a change in the app, will you need to make the changes in 10+ places.  Ideally, it would advantageous to be able to make one change rather than 10+, especially if the schema of the lists is pretty much the same for all departments.  Perhaps @WarrenBelz could help out here.

    @YAYA ,

    I agree with @Drrickryp on a consolidated list - if you really need to use the 21 sites, connecting them all is well within the capabilities of Power Apps, but prepare yourself for a lot of "hard coding" as you will need large Switch() statements to work out the data required, and record Variables for your Forms with them all manually Patched according to the data source required (or 21 forms . . ).

    thanks for reply, just to give you an overview about the app, the app is all about letter documents between the departments. each department will send and receive letters so Letter IN letter Out. do you still recommend one app with one list. specially it will duplicate the same document. Department A - Letter OUT, Department B, Letter IN

    @YAYA ,

    You might consider Letter To and Letter From fields in the record - you can then filter by these to see the originator and recipient.
