Hello everybody,

I have a powerApps form that has a sharepoint list as a datasource.

In the sharepoint list certain fields are marked as required. So when I submit the form that you can generate, it will fail each required field that does not have content and prevent submission.

I am using a classic edit form not the modern form.

Now my question is: I have a custom data card i created that is not linked to any column in the sharepoint list. That datacard gets it's content based on the contents of other datacards. I want to trigger a fail that prevents submission of the form. Eg. the calucalted number in that field should be greated than 100 or something like that.

Now making the input show up as red based on that condition is fairly easy. But how can i trigger the same error that prevents the form submission. Currently it will show up as red but the form will be submitted.

I know i can disable the submission button when the condition is not fulfilled, but that is not really a good solution.
Because it is obviously possible to trigger a fail that prevents form submissions because the generated data cards are doing it.

I also obviously need a custom error message.

Now, using onchange does not really work, because I want the condition only checked when the submission button is pressed. Like with all the generated data cards.

So how can i achieve this?
