I have a power app in teams.
Instead of opening Teams, selecting Tab and then opening the application,
Is There way to make shortcut from desktop to open the app directly.
Please guide
In my case, a pop-up first asks if I want to open Teams. And if I have 'Open with Teams' checked, Teams will open directly the next time. There might be subtle differences in the user environment or other aspects, but I'm not exactly sure about that. Sorry.
thanks for your reply.
I followed as you guided, copied the address from "Copy link to tab"
Then created a short cut on the desktop. It opens the app via browser but need confirmation on screen to select and proceed
The use select on the link Already have the teams app?. launch it now.
And then it opens the app in teams.
Sorry so say, searching for shortcut took me to a very long cut.
I was just expecting that short cut will open a new window Tab with app
Any other idea or way, please guide
regards
Hi @MIA27
Click the 'Copy link to tab' from the menu of the app in Teams to get the link that starts with "https://teams.microsoft.com/l/entity/~"(Launch url in Teams). Enter it into the Type the location of the item field of the Shortcut icon on the Windows desktop. But I am afraid that this may not be an optimal approach.
*If it is necessary to create shortcuts on many people's PCs (I'm not sure if that is reasonable). It is common for the AD administrator to use AD group policies to centrally create shortcuts on user PCs.
