Publish error related to conversational boosting with Azure AI data source?

Posted on by 16

When trying to publish my Copilot Studio bot, I get the following error:

mritch_0-1711994457414.png

The prompt asks "Would you like to continue and publish" but there is no button option.

Furthermore, when I navigate to the Conversational Boosting topic, the 'Topic Checker' indicates that there are no errors.

My data source is connected to an Azure OpenAI model that is deployed.

This bot is using the 'gpt-35-turbo-instruct' model.

I have 2 other bots connected to deployments based on the 'gpt-35-turbo' model, that do not have this issue.

Is this an issue with the base model selected in Azure OpenAI?

Update: I'm using GPT-4, and in the Playground and via code, everything works fine, so the issue is propably somewhere in Power Platform.

Same issue here, all my bots with generative answers stopped working on March 28th. As soon as it goes to Generative Answers, the bot restarts without any errors. In the Network tab, I only see 500 Internal errors from Microsoft endpoints with no useful feedback.

No solution yet, no useful feedback. To publish changes, I need to deactivate "Conversational Boosting," then I can publish changes, but I can't reactivate it. In bots where it is activated and published, it just crashes.

Update 2 - The publish issue seemed to occur after performing "Deploy to a new copilot in Copilot Studio" preview feature for a second time - in the Azure OpenAI chat playground .

There were no issues using this feature the first time, but the second occurrence seemed to create a duplicate connection in the PowerApps tenant. I tried removing both and performing the deployment a third time, but it did not resolve the issue

Update - all models are experiencing this publish issue, regardless of OpenAI deployment model type.

I did not encounter this issue and had all bots working last Thursday
