Hi Community,I need to push data from Dataverse for Teams to Dataverse. What I find is that there is no Export option in Teams Dataverse which is available in Dataverse. The only option to do it is through Power Automate using Dataverse actions used for moving data from one environment to another environment. Is there any other available option?
Hi @shresthagupta
Are you looking to migrate to a full Dataverse environment or are you wanting to build an integration between the two? There is an upgrade process to move the Dataverse for Teams environment to Dataverse: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/about-teams-environment#upgrade-process
To export the data, I recommend doing it with Power Automate, I have done it, using the connector where I can select the environment and from there I insert it with another action where I can select the destination environment and the table that I need.
You must try to ensure that the data structure is the same, if you use option set, that the values are the same, otherwise you will have to use expressions to transform the data
Hi,I have studied this article, the link of which you have provided. It talks about upgrading the Dataverse for Teams to Dataverse. Is there a possibility to downgrade the environment back to Teams Dataverse?
Is there any other possible way to migrate the data without upgrading it to Dataverse as mentioned by @dpoggemann or using Flows as mentioned by @Jmanriquerios ?
One of the disadvantages of Dataverse for Teams is that the API is closed, so data extraction in the way we know in dataverse is not possible, I suggest you use Power Automate
Hi @shresthagupta ,
No "downgrade" that I am aware of from Dataverse to Dataverse for Teams
Power Automate is the recommended integration approach from Dataverse for Teams.
