Apply filter for a form based on the data selected from another dataset

I am trying to populate a "display form" based on the data displayed from another dataset.

Dataset A:

Name Email Region
Mary mary@google.com Americas
Peter peter@google.com APAC
Paul paul@google.com EMEA

Dataset B:

Name Email Workshop 1 Workshop 2 Workshop 3 Homework
Peter peter@google.com 50% 100% 100%
80%
Mary mary@google.com 100% 50% 100% Incomplete
Paul paul@google.com done makeup assignments 80% 100% 100%

The app is designed to show 2 forms, linking the data from 2 datasets.

"Form A" is linked with Dataset A, all the columns are set to displayed fields, and the result is based on one selected item from a gallery displayed of Dataset A.

"Form B" is linked with Dataset B, set to display the remaining fields based on the result from "Form A."
The formula for "Form B - Item" is:  First(Filter(Dataset B,'Name' = DataCardValue.Text)
* where "datacardvalue" is a field in "Form A" - that links with 'Name' from Dataset A

The formula has reported error, and no data was shown in any fields of "Form B".
Could anyone please share your advice? Many thanks!

    Hi

You said, it reported an error, but didn't share it? Why?

Also this cannot be correct as its missing lot of punctuation

    First(Filter(Dataset B,'Name' = DataCardValue.Text)

    has to be

    First(Filter('Dataset B','Name' = ControlInsideDataCard.Text))

And the error is (most likely) because you are trying to use the DataCard itself, versus the Text Box that is inside the datacard.

Make sure to click inside to get the name of the Control and then grab its value/text whatever you need
