One App, three screens, don't always want overlap

Hai

I have created an app based on sharepoint list Started with blank canvas and added three screens. Each screen has a form: gallery, display, edit. In tablet format.

I would like it if screen2 and screen3 are placed to the right of screen1, gallery, in that red box. And that screen1 simply remains visible. That is not happening now. All three screens are now thrown over each other.

Is this possible?

The following would also be beautiful. If you press Save or Cancel in Screen3, Screen2 will reappear And if you press Back in Screen2, Screen2 will disappear.

regards

Ron

This is easily accomplished by just using multiple forms on the same screen, you can't overlap screens, but you can just use the forms. Set visible flags using variables that you set with each button press. So if on Form 3, you hit cancel, Set(varShowForm3,false) and put varShowForm3 in the visible property of Form3 and so forth, you can easily control the 3 in that manner.

    Thnx @cwebb365

but for me as a beginner this is the next-level 🙂

Is there somewhere on the internet an example or a tutorial specific about his requirement?

    Regards Ron

Just watch Shane's video's he's got tons of examples through his video's of hiding controls, using buttons / variables etc. I don't have time to go through every video but it's all there :P.

But you can literally copy your controls from each screen and paste them into the 3 sections on your first screen, and in place of the navigate button you use the set(varShowScreen2,true) 3 etc in it's place. And set all those controls visible to those variables in their matching variable.

You could even group all those controls together so you can set visible once on the group to that variable, then you just true / false that variable instead of navigating to screen 2 3 etc.

    Ok @cwebb365

just like you say, so many video's, where to start?

Maybe @Shanescows can tell me which video handles this subject.

As a beginner I try to understand what you say:

    • make one screen
    • place three forms on the screen: gallery, display, edit
    • place all the buttons, back/edit/cancel/save, on the first screen
    • and for instance the edit button = ShowScreen2

Something like that? Poeh, I  hope somebody can come up with an example. For me it works bets to see it once, then I know how it is handled.
Anyway , thnx for you replies.

    Regards

    Ron

    Hi @PowerRon :

Do you want to integrate three screens into one screen?
If yes, then you only need to copy & paste.I've made a test for your reference:

In addition, do you want to make a certain control invisible by pressing a certain button?

I suggest you use visible property to control the visibility of controls, for example:

1\Set the button's OnSelect property to

    Set(var,false) /*var is my custom variable*/

2\Set the form 's Visible proeprty to

    var

I think these links will help you a lot:
