Plugin Profiler Will Not Install

Hi all:

I had the profiler installed and was happily using it to debug a plugin when the profiler stopped capturing debug information. I exercise the plugin and attempt to download the debug information, but the runtime is not in the list of captured debugs. I uninstalled the profiler to try and correct that issue and when I attempt to reinstall it on the plugin assembly it just runs stating "Installing Profiler..." and never finishes. I let it run overnight and still it did not install. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Last time I attempted the install it came back with a timeout error after a 30 minute run. I have another environment, Test, and the profiler installs there. Odd.

I have the same issue, so I tried to install the profiler solution manually and get this error after about 60 seconds:

Solution "Plug-in Profiler" failed to import: Plugin Assemblies import: FAILURE. Error: Plugin: PluginProfiler.Plugins, Version=7.1.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35 caused an exception.: PluginProfiler.Plugins cannot be installed this way. Please use a microsoft signed solution file to install a microsoft signed assembly

I dowloaded plugin registration tool 9.0.0.9519

I installed VS2019 Extension "Power Platform Tools" v1.0.15610986.0 and it gives me an error when I try to connect

Method not found: Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.Organization.OrganizationType Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.Discovery.OrganizationDetaiI.get_OrganizationType()'

I tried using an older version of the plugin registration tool with similar results.

Here is my D365 version info:

Microsoft Dynamics 365

2024 release wave 2 enabled

App name: MMM

Organization name: Travel CRM (DEV)

Channel: Monthly - October 2024 (app)

SANDBOX

Server version: 9.2.24101.00200

Client version: 1.4.9314-2410.1

From Release Notes, You need above ver,9.1.0.199:
ProfilerPlugin Solution updated for new security requirements; the "Install Profiler" button on previous versions of the Plugin Registration Tool will no longer function on Online Dataverse organizations.

I think you're going to want to install the PRT using the pac tool command in the PAC CLI. You can also install from Visual studio via Power Platform Explorer by right clicking on the assemblies node. Either should work.

Hi @SF-17101227-0

Try below steps

1. Navigate to your Organization

2. Click Settings (Gear Icon on top of the screen ) then Select Advance Settings

3. Click Settings

4. Look for Plugin Trace Logs

5. Delete all Logs and try the same
