Customize Citation Title & Description for Files in Copilot Studio

Hi everyone,

When using a file as a knowledge source in Copilot Studio, clicking a citation displays a dialog with a title and description pulled from the file.

  • Current Behavior: The title/description seems auto-generated from slide content, with no direct customization option.

  • Desired Behavior: Ability to manually set or modify the citation title/description (e.g., via metadata or a custom field).

Questions:

  1. Has anyone found a workaround to customize these fields for citations?

    To resolve your issue, I recommend using the Dataverse Indexer example.

    Yes, you are correct. Copilot currently behaves differently based on the type of Knowledge Source.
     
     
    When you have the documents uploaded in the Dataverse directly,
    The Citations will be shown as Popup. But there are some ways to Customize this.
     
    Can you try this method. This can help you to Customize the Citations.
