Has anyone gotten a combo box to work in a component? I have it shows the correct items, but I can't get .selected to work.

Please reference this create-component ,you just need to change the Gallery to ComboBox and then set the output of the Component as :ComboBox.Selected as the next screenshot shows.(ComboBox2 is the ComboBox's name in my test)

I'm following that so far. My issue it looks like, is actually the items. I need to be able to access all of the fields in the selected record. It looks like here, I'm only able to select one text field - right now it's "showname".
Is there a way to set the items to all of the default items?
I think the items property in the component needs to tell it to pull all the default fields. I'm just not sure how to do that. I've tried Defaults, but it gives me an error.
Sorry to bring up an old post, but did you manage to get the selected output return from the component? I am trying the same method as you.
My selected output return an empty table/record. I already try setting the output using both table and record.
