I'm working on a Copilot Studio topic and need to conditionally include or exclude a custom reference variable URL based on the availability of a response. Specifically, I need to check if the response is present before including the URL in the topic logic.

Here’s what I’m trying to achieve in topic:

Implement a logic to verify if the response from the data source or function is valid and non-empty.
Include the custom reference variable URL only if the response is available. If the response is not present, the URL should be excluded.

Could you please provide guidance on how to set up this conditional logic within Copilot Studio topics? Any specific steps or examples for implementing this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

You can customize the citations in the generated answers using Gen AI. Therefore, if the response is empty, don't include any citation, and if there is, include it. I think answer to your question is by leveraging powerfx to put conditional logic. i think link suggested by Ferran is spot on
