Tagging Local Files, Metadata?? IDK help please

Hi everyone,

Not sure how to tackle this request.

I've got a flow that pulls certain attachments from emails and drops them into a shared folder on a network drive. To improve searchability, I need to apply tags that contain key information (customer numbers, locations, etc).

I know I can append this info to the file name (within the file path limit 256 characters), but that's messy.

Is there any solution where I can edit a file's properties before saving it to the shared folder?

I don't know of any way to do that within Power Automate, that metadata is stored within the file itself. The file system connector does not have any actions beyond updating the file data or appending data: File System - Connectors | Microsoft Learn
