I posted a similar message elsewhere ...

I've been trying the New Analysis Engine as was trying User Defined functions but I've had to stop using that and turned off the engine as it's unworkable due to the intense slowness of many aspects.

Mainly the problem I've found is that any Copy and Paste of controls or renames, along with adding new items to Forms etc., is unworkably slow with the engine on and yet are fine with it off.

Currently with the way it is it's just not practical to use it at all when doing any editing or creation of app(s) and that means it's not possible to use UDF's as a side issue.

I'm not sure if anyone in the development team on the New Analysis Engine is aware of this issue and/or not sure how to make them aware and address it?

Hoping this is read by the team and also anyone else experiencing real slowness that might not be aware it's caused by the new engine.

You should turn the New Analysis Engine off for now until Microsoft fixes it.

After going GA, the new analysis engine is super unstable and gives me lots of issues. Importing a simple component can take up to 30 minutes, and code formatting isn't working. Many other users faced the same problem :(

I was having all of the same issues you were reporting but a lot of the issues seem to be much better on version 3.24092.19.

After a lengthy battle with the support team, I think that the word has finally gotten through to the engineering team, who is looking into it.

But the road there was bumpy - e.g. with replies from the support team that "You should not create an app with more than 500 controls" + "You should create an idea", despite having shared the following with them (sigh).
