Remove references and citations from responses

Im currently creating a QA bot, that gets all the info from an excel file. Originally the bot would respond to a question like this " Answer [1] reference: ...excel info...". I was able to remove the reference text, but I cant figure out how to remove the [1] from the answer text, as I think its imbedded inside the topic it self. Ive seen some other posts that use the replace or substitute in a formula but I dont how to apply those. Any help appreciated.

    Hi Gilsa

This is about the "Create Generative Answers" node, right? I am facing a similar issue. Could you solve your issue? If yes, how did you do it?
Plus you are writing that you were able to remove the reference text in the first place. How did you acomplish that?

    Hello,

you'd need to first uncheck Send message and then remove the references from the message by saving the bot message to a variable, see:

I wouldn't suggest to do it though, as without references it's hard to understand how the answer was provided by the bot. It's crucial for end user to understand that, because LLMs make mistakes and someone can at least check the source to make sure that the response is correct.

In case of any other questions, let me know. If the answer helped you, mark it, so that others can benefit from it.

    Best regards,
