Barcode Reader shutting app down when selected only on new build android devices

I have a power app that uses a barcode reader that is working with most of our team without issue. However, I have recently received a new device and when the barcode reader is selected, the app shuts down showing no error message.

The device in question is a Google Pixel 8 Pro and I have also tested with another device of the same model/build with the same results.

My organisation intends to roll these devices out as replacements to staff members current devices as they become due.

I have been in contact with some from the help team by email, but they wanted me to raise a ticket for this. The process for raising a ticket seems to run in circles or dead ends at an empty page, so I am hopeful someone here may be able to press the correct persons buttons and get some sort of action on this.

Finding it randomly closing the app too, with no error notification.....

I have a similar post on here. I did test some Pixel 7a devices with Android 14 and they do not share the problem but, my Pixel 8 pro crashes every time.

I'm having the same issue, again on a Pixel 8. worked 3 days ago, not yesterday. Have tried changing back any settings but no luck, tried uninstalling / reinstalling PowerApps, no luck, the phone is only a week old, my guess is that an update it just rolled through is the problem.

Facing the same issue. Tried using the control on several different devices ( Pixel 7, Samsung, iPhone, intune devices ) works on all except a Pixel 8.

Tried clearing cache, re-installing the app, restarting the phone, adjusting phone settings. If solution found update this thread.

Confirmed this still appears to be happening with the Pixel 8a running Android 15.
