MS Copilot studio sharepoint not working with GenAI

Hi !

So I am having some weird issue with my SPO connection in MS copilot Studio. I am currently on free trial, but I don't think that's an issue. Generative AI is not working with my SharePoint or One Drive for business. It doesn't include answers from SPO for some reason. It's definitely not a connection issue, since I can see a list of sites when I create a custom topic connection for example "Get file content using path" I can pick the site for the input, but then it doesn't work even through the created separate topic (that's a different issue all together).

So what are my next steps?

FYI: GEN AI works fine with uploaded files and Public Websites. But SPO is not working which gives me a major headache....

In Sharepoint I've only managed to get information from pages in a sharepoint site, but not from lists or files in the document library. I just included the root site and after a few minutes it worked but only for pages.

What service provider did you use for Manual Authentication ? I used Azure AD V2, but without SSO. Which maybe the cause for the issue, I am investigating that right now.

Actually, let me correct myself, as I just did another test
Teams and Power Apps Only: can read pages and documents in document library
Manual Authentication (Azure AD V2): can read pages and documents in document library

so same result with both types, maybe manual authentication with SSO will help to read lists but I don't think lists are included.
Did you gave permissions to app registration for reading sites?

I would not use the root site in booster action tough, as is able to read all the sites and all document libraries.

Yep, permissions are there. So I think the issue is with SSO not being set up. I will try to do that and see what I get. At least I am hoping that will solve my issue. I tried with root and separate sites, nothing works 🙂

Otherwise, can you share the following: 1. redirect URI for your registered app 2. copilot authentication settings

Hey Adiei,
I am using AAD v2, it seems to work fine since me and my colleges can login, which means SSO is set correctly. Connection to SPO works as well, since I can see input results when trying to connect via plugins for SPO. I have followed the the official guide, granted the permissions for the MS Graph. So authentication is there, but still can't read the SPO sites and files...
