Hello Everyone,

I have followed all the below mentioned steps to Export and Import Customized SharePoint Power Apps Form but not able to achieve the expected result.

How to Export and Import Customized SharePoint Pow... - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

the Imported custom form connection is still pointing to the source list (the list from which the app was exported).

I also tried the below option but ended up with connectivity error.

Copy a SharePoint list Power Apps custom form - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

is there any better solution exist to achieve this requirement?

Thanks,

Raj

    Hi @RGB5 ,

    1. Export the Form: Use the Power Apps export feature to export the customized form. Ensure you're exporting the correct version.

    2. Import to New Environment: Import the form into the target environment (production) using Power Apps.

    3. Rebind Data Source: After importing, manually rebind the data source of the form to the correct SharePoint list in the target environment. This involves:

      • Editing the form in Power Apps.
      • Removing the existing SharePoint connection.
      • Adding a new data source that points to the SharePoint list in the target environment.
      • Updating the form's controls to use the new data source.
    4. Check Connections: Ensure that all necessary connections (e.g., SharePoint, other data sources) are properly configured in the target environment.

    5. Test Thoroughly: Test the form extensively in the target environment to ensure all functionalities work as expected.

    6. Update Permissions: Ensure that users in the target environment have appropriate permissions for the SharePoint list and the app.

Remember, manually updating the data source is crucial as the import process does not automatically rebind data sources to the new environment's lists.

@Pro_User_365 , Thank you so much for the quick response. Do we have any video or document where the above step 3 (Rebind Data Source) is recorded?
