Bot Not Proceeding After Adaptive Card Selection

Issue Summary:

I have a Copilot Studio bot that was working perfectly fine until February 9th. However, starting from February 10th, the bot stopped proceeding after an Adaptive Card selection.

  • The Adaptive Card is displayed correctly, but after selecting an option, it does not trigger the next action (message or condition).
  • The issue occurs in both Microsoft Teams and Copilot Studio’s test environment.
  • No follow-up messages or actions are executed after a selection.

Setup Details:

  • Platform: Copilot Studio (Free-tier, Browser-based)
  • Where It Occurs: Inside a Greeting topic, where the Adaptive Card presents multiple options.
  • Actions Used: Tried both Action.Submit and Action.Execute, but neither worked.
  • Testing: Created a new test bot, but the issue persists.

Debugging Steps Tried (No Success Yet):

✅ Checked Adaptive Card JSON → No syntax errors; the card renders properly.
✅ Tested in both Teams and Copilot Studio → The issue is the same in both.
✅ Added a follow-up message after selection → It is not getting triggered.
✅ Checked Copilot logs → No error messages related to this issue.
✅ Tried using Action.Submit instead of Action.Execute → No change.
✅ Created a new bot with a simple Adaptive Card → Same issue.
✅ Looked for service outages or Copilot Studio updates → No known reports.

Questions:

  • Is anyone else facing this issue with Adaptive Cards inside Copilot Studio topics?
  • Could this be a recent Microsoft bug affecting Adaptive Card interactions?
  • Are there any workarounds to force the bot to proceed with actions after a selection?
  • Is there a way to manually restart the bot in the free-tier version of Copilot Studio?

Where I Need Help:

I need guidance on whether this is a Copilot Studio bug or if there’s a fix/workaround to restore normal bot behavior. Any insights would be greatly appreciated! 🙏
